Fishing in Panama

Panama literally means “abundance of fish”. It is no coincidence that this land and these waters have carried this name. There are excellent fishing conditions throughout the year, only with varying species, but not varying results.

The months of January-April are the dry season in Panama. Due to winter in North America, a current of cold water decreases the temperature in the Pacific Ocean of Panamá, putting at our disposition species such as: cubera snapper, silk snapper, amberjack, grouper, seabass, snook and others.

In may, rainshowers begin, water temperature increases and blue waters turn out. Until November we can see mahi-mahi, wahoo, yellowfin tuna, sailfish and others. There are many other species available such as pompano, jack trevally, bluejack, mackerel, bonito and roosterfish.

What we can assure you is that when the fish are out there, we will find them.

We count with top of the line fishing tackle, with brands such as Shimano, Penn, Yo-Zuri, Black Bart, Afico, Mustad and Williamson. We know and practice all types of fishing such as trolling, casting and jigging. If you have any special request, or would like to practice a specific type of fishing, we will comply. We will always share our knowledge with you and let you know the current fishing report of available species and recent catches. At the end, the fishing day belongs to you and we oblige by your requests.
